Elaine Strand Sinclair
It has been quite the journey with many challenges but it was never boring. The ups and downs make life interesting and ultimately worth while.
My family: Two sons, 2 granddaughters
Change I wish to see in the world: Stop the promotion of hatred, fear and mistrust of people who are different from us. Create a climate where every human is free to live their lives as they see fit.
My life motto: Fight for what you can change; make your peace with what you can’t.
Where I turn to for inspiration: Nature is my place of retreat and restoration.
Most interesting place I have traveled to since high school: The beginning of the Arctic Circle, Yukon Territory
Traits I admire most in a person: truth and integrity
Best advice a teacher gave me in high school: Quit clowning around 🙂
Favorite CUC memory: too many to choose
Risk worth taking: Doing what makes butterflies in your stomach, no matter how scary, is absolutely a risk worth taking. Never let fear stop you.
(Elaine lives in the Yukon and sent some pictures from the Yukon to include in her update.)
