Ward Childers

Ward Childers

My wife Sharleen and I recently moved to Virginia following more than 30 years in Missouri. We worked in healthcare for approximately 40 years as a nurse and x-ray technologist and are now retired.

My family: We have 2 daughters. One is an associate professor in Speech Pathology at Marshall University in West Virginia. Our second daughter and husband work in administration at Emory & Henry College in Virginia. We have 2 grandsons and with our move to Virginia, live about 3 miles from them.

My work: Retired

Change I wish to see in the world: Respect for people and life.

Trait I admire most in a person: Honesty

I can never have too many: Sunny days for a round of golf.

Biggest surprise about life: Life passes by so quickly.

P.S. Ward is planning to attend Alumni Homecoming and would love to organize a Class of 69 golf group for the Alumni and Community Golf Classic – $100/person (Lacombe Golf and Country Club), Sunday, June 9, 2019. Please email him if you are interested: [email protected]
